6th Bracknell Scout Group
Jubilee Camp
Bear's Rails 4 - 8 June 2012

General Information

Changes to both timings and activities, on occasions, will be unavoidable and prior warning will be issued as soon as possible.

Safety

Safety will take priority over all activities that will be supervised at all times. As a safety precaution, if a whistle blast is heard, everybody MUST stop what they are doing, look toward the sound and wait until told what to do.

All injuries, however slight, are to be reported to Akela who will treat as necessary and record the incident.

Uniform

Will be worn when not on site. This includes arrival and departure at the beginning and end of the camp.

Group Equipment

The APL (under the guidance of the PL) will be responsible for the patrol's equipment. Damage caused by misuse will result in the replacement of the item(s) by the patrol.

Camp Bank

All spending money will be deposited in the camp bank. This will be organised by TECHNO who will announce opening and closing times when required. Unspent cash should be re-deposited into the bank as "lost pennies" cannot be refunded.

Camp Hygiene

  1. Everybody will shower and wash daily as per the programme
  2. No food is to be eaten in the tents and all litter must be disposed off correctly otherwise you will attract animals such as squirrels, badgers, rabbits and rats into your area.
  3. All wet clothing is to be hung on your line and not packed away wet otherwise they will smell and possibly go mouldy.
  4. All (dry) dirty clothing should be packed away into a separate "dirty bag" to ensure your clean clothes stay clean. If you did not bring one, ask a leader for a carrier bag that you may use for this purpose.
